Final stop, Ntchisi rain forest. This was a feat for Kian as he hiked by himself for three hours (without any bribery with candy or gum). It was amazing. Darian sat in the backpack and didn't cry so I guess he did well. He did recently hit one of my top two favorite developmental milestones though. He can now be bribed to do things or stop doing things with a promise of candy or gum in the future. It's great. I can't wait until he hits my other favorite milestone, being able to sit through a full-length cartoon movie. In general though, Darian is pinching, biting, and hitting a lot less, so we are extremely proud parents.
Darian and Kian loved having madar and baba here in Malawi. Kian showed off his gardening skills. Darian learned to love playing the Turkish "Hamanee" game with Baba. And overall we ate a lot better, had a great time stopping and shopping at all of the fruit markets and generally had a lot more fun.
